A short description of the 'School with Tradition' competition
The "School with Tradition" competition is an attempt to restore
a traditional role of school as a centre around which the life of small
communities may focus. We wish to restore good but, unfortunately, forgotten
cultural traditions of educational centres. One of the aims of the competition
is to present school national and regional traditions and customs cultivated
by schools and presented by means of modern communication tools.
The competition is held exclusively in the internet environment - on the
www.szkolaztradycja.org portal, where presentations prepared by schools
compete with one another. Internauts select the most interesting presentations
of school initiatives submitted for the Competition. Due to a large age
range, schools compete in three categories: primary school, gymnasium,
and high school. The presentations indicated by internauts will allow
the Jury to select 12 winners in each of the categories. However, the
final verdict will be delivered by the winners of the previous edition
of the competition. They will vote in order to determine the preference
order of the winners selected by the Jury and this is up to them to decide
which of the schools will receive the main prize of $ 1000.
